"Noisy Neighbours" Man City Humiliate Alex Ferguson

Manchester City inflicted Manchester United's worst home defeat since February 1955 as they soundly thrashed the "RedDevils" mercilessly to go five points clear at the top of the Premier League.

Roberto Mancini's men could not have made a more resounding statement as Sir Alex Ferguson's side were humiliated. It was the first time United had conceded six goals at Old Trafford since 1930, when Huddersfield won 6-0 and Newcastle 7-4 within four days of each other.

In the first half City led 1-0 thanks to wonderful bit of play by Silva who played in Balotelli who put away the opportunity after being given too much time by United defendeer Johny Evans. This was not to be Johny Evans' night as after the restart, early in the second half, Johny Evans was sent off for bringing down Balotelli after he had let him through the defence, this was the opportunity City needed to beging the slaughter.

Balotelli was again the provider of the second goal whilst David Silva and James Milner were the creators, scoring on the hour, simply passing the ball into the goal.Sergion Aguero, who hade been quiet all afternoon, scored the third after an excellent pass by James Milner and cross by Richards, Aguero was on hand to do the formailty of scoring.

With three goals to nil, United tried not to lose their heads and thanks ti an unstable strike from 20 yards out by Fletcher in the 81st minute, gave United and their fans some hope, many who had already left the stadium early.

But it was not to be as in stoppage time City came out with a flurry of goals in quick succession to ultimately kill and bury the match. Two goals by substitue, Bosnian international Dzeko means 8 goals for him this season and David Silva got his well deserved goal after all his work and effort.

Mancini has his eyes on the champioship trophy this season and now 5 points clear of rivals United they are in a very good position to realise their dream. The field of dreams may just have found a new home.
