We thought we'll never come to this stage and seeing this kind of texts on some sites looked low to me some time ago.
But since recently, it's getting very hard to monetize web sites as global recession took away many Internet advertisers. Just few months ago we could bring in 300% more money for same level of traffic than today.
So we've decided to eat our pride and write this as job we made on MySoccerPlace in last year deserves it.
It's getting pretty hard to run the website on this high level without funds that could give us some kind of freedom to spend countless hours uploading videos, adding and tracking live streams etc.. We tried many different advertising options that, living outside of USA, are available to us, but it's still far from getting good results.
We've still haven't started to think about shutting down the site or at least bringing it to lower level as it's still not such a critical situation and We can still do it for some time but we're not sure how long we could make it if this situation continues and if we don't succeed to make things look like they were just few months ago. There are some bills to be paid and if we would have to move to some other venues to pay them, we'll do it. We owe that to our families at least, they barely see us anyway :)

There are several aspects here that would probably leave us without any external funding, at least some big one. But we're fighting, hope it's going to be OK.

MySoccerPlace.net has evolved really quickly since the past year and a half and though I find it impressive, I thought it was a bit worrying when there wasn't any mention of external fundings or capital that were being brought into the owners hands to accomodate the growth. I'm not sure about the backend paperworks, but at the frontend, everything has been really smooth and great!
For the long term view, MySoccerPlace.Net definitely needs to look beyond donations, but hey, a great site with great content, I'll chip in whenever I can.

Hey I'm sorry this doesn't work out as well as you would like. I'm kinda low on money lately, so I'm trying to do my part to help with the matches I post. I hope this helps increase the traffic a bit! As soon as i have a job, i'll consider the recurrig monthly donation. It doesn't seem like much to me. If I may, I woudl suggest adding a 1$ donation option. I know its very few, but it's about the price of, for example, an application on an iPhone, and maybe some might consider donating if its only 1$ ...
