It probably wasn't the kind of game that might convince Raul Meireles and Paul Konchesky that they're at the most exciting club on the planet, as the scoreline might as well have read 'Torres 1 - Odemwingie 0'.

Citizens 3 - Liverpudlians 0: Oh what a loss!

Being a Reds fan, I'll be honest that this loss didn't hurt as much as a loss to another Manchester club would have been, but nevertheless it curtails the lofty hopes that Liverpudlians have been holding onto, ever since Roy Hodgson's arrival, the Captain's commitment and the allegiance of the planet's best striker.
