Wenger guilty of Arsene as title ambitions well and truly go up in flames!

Is it me, or does anyone else think Arsene Wenger is so blinded by the faith he has in his youngsters that he loses focus on the job at hand.  I'm aware that with Arsenal's three page injury list that there are certain positions that will be hard to fill... especially in defense but then there has always been a question mark over Arsenal's defense even with Gallas and Vermaelen fully fit.  In Wenger's defense he doesn't have much choice but to play Sylvestre and Campbell so that's not what I'm going to query.  It's his decision today (against Wigan) to play the likes Clint Eastmond, Fran Merida and to some extent Niklas Bendtner when there is a fully fit Van Persie sat in wait.  Perhaps I'm wrong, perhaps he has more faith in the likes of  the experienced Van Persie because he felt he could win the game for us in the 4 minutes of injury time that he played.  How many times must a team throw away a 2 goal lead against, medioca at best opposition, when there is a title to be won.  Wenger, despite his towering footballing intellect, and his success in formative years, he has let his fans down once again with some poor decision making and our patience is wearing thin.  I know there are a few Arsene Wenger loyalist's on this site and up until today I was one of them, but for the first time I actually doubted his ability and wondered if he really is the best man for the job.  Had we won today, keeping the pressure on Manchester United and Chelsea, but still lost the title at least we could say we had a go.  However, we didn't win and after recently stating that I believe Arsenal's glory days were on the horizon, the game against Wigan showed we are miles from any sort of trophy because we cannot produce the results WHEN IT COUNTS!  Something has got to change, I fear that change could be Wenger

Maybe it isn't Wenger I'm mad at then, maybe my problem is that football isn't a sport any more.
I love his style when it works, Arsenal do play beautiful football but possession football isn't necessarily attacking football or "good football". Arsenal have about 60% ball possession most games but the attempts at goal occasionally don't reflect this. Others do but then the results don't show, especially since Van Persie's injury. Arsene Wenger, ideally, would like to see possession converted into goal points, goal attempts converted into goals, goals converted into victory. But on far too many occasions this season one of these ingredients has been left on the till at the supermarket!
