DOWNLOAD HELP THREAD

I am creating this thread for those who might have problems downloading, unzipping, or viewing the videos I post.

You can obviously use this thread to ask any questions you have, especially for the things not explained below !

Megaupload : Once you click the link, the Megaupload page appears. You have to type the code on the top right in the box next to it, and click download. You will see a 45 second countdown. When the time reaches 0, your download link will appear (in black). Just click it and the download starts automatically. Note: if you do not have a premium account with Megaupload, you can only download one file at a time... If you have a premium account, there is no code to fill in, and no waiting time either.

Rapidshare : Click the link and the Rapidshare page appears. You will see two speedometers. Under the left one, click the "free user" button. A countdown will appear. Once it reaches zero, a download button will appear (round, blue button). Click it and the download starts automatically. Note : just like Megaupload, without a premium account you can only download one file at a time. If you have a premium account, there is no waiting time before the download.

Midupload : When you click the link and get to the Midupload page, you will see a chart. Underneath it, there are two buttons. Click the "free download" button.  Once you click it, the page that appears has a box with "enter code below" written (generally there is an ad over it). Write the code you see in the box. Underneath that, there is a countdown. Once it reaches 0, you will be able to click the "create download link" button (you must have typed the code over it or it won't work !!!)  Once you click it, scroll down a bit on the next page that appears. You will see a big blue "download" button. Click it and the download will start.

1. For downloading torrents you need a torrent client, the most common clients (both Windows and
Mac) are :
uTorrent (http://www.utorrent.com/)
Deluge (http://www.deluge-torrent.org/)
Vuze (http://azureus.sourceforge.net/)
BitTorrent (http://www.bittorrent.com/)
Opera (http://www.opera.com/)

There are plenty of other clients available as well.

2. Follow the instructions on downloading and installing your chosen
client.

3. Once you have found the desired torrent, click the "Download This
Torrent" (or however they word it). Usually, the web browser's file
download manager will ask what to do with this file. You want to open
the file with your torrent client.

4. If it doesn't open that way, just save the .torrent file to an easy
to locate place. Then open your torrent client and use the "Open
Torrent" feature(Most torrent clients support click & drag).

5. The download will start automatically. You may now go and do
something to pass the time, because torrents do not require your
attention and will download in the background.

6. You can close your torrent program and turn off your computer when
you need to. Most torrent programs will resume download process
automatically when you start them back up. If the download doesn't
resume automatically, there should be an option to start downloading, by
either right clicking on the file and choose "Start" or a button
somewhere in the program.

A torrent file with good number of Seeders gives good speeds.
Seeders (Seeds): Are people who have a complete copy of the torrent's
files and are only uploading (sending) data to the people who are
downloading (peers).
Leechers (Peers): Are people who have a portion of the torrent's files
while they are downloading they are actively uploading to help others
download more quickly.

It is recommended to use WinRAR for unzippng.
